Yallunder is a classically trained vocalist who uses her vocal techniques and versatility to execute several musical genres. Having graduated cum laude for vocal pedagogy at the Tshwane University of Technology in 2017, Yolanda worked at the Gauteng Opera in 2018.

It was during this time that she started singing covers of popular songs and posting them on Twitter and, in doing so, caught the attention of the likes of Black Coffee, Sjava, Lungi Naidoo and Cassper Nyovest.

She was invited to perform at Black Coffee's exclusive Music is King concert (where she shared the stage with high profile artists such as Monique Bingham, Thandiswa Mazwai and Moneoa) and soon thereafter started her professional relationship with Sjava which saw her perform with him on LiveAmp on the #SjavaSpecial episode, as well as at the One Night with Sjava concerts (Sun Arena & Durban ICC).

On iSambulo, Yallunder's enchanting voice 'brings the pots' on the tracks Ndinovalo, iNhliziyo and Abanjani.
